Delete your Exchange account

Delete in the app

1. Open Exchange and sign in.
2. Tap the You tab.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your account is deleted right away.

Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Play Store, Profile, Payments and subscriptions) or in your iPhone Settings.

Can't get into the app?

Email privacy@exchangesocialapp.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is you and delete the account, usually within 7 days.

What is deleted

• Your login and email address
• Your profile, photos, videos and private albums
• Your messages, likes, taps and favorites
• Your location, Right Now posts, events and Roam trips

If you share a couple or throuple profile and your partner still uses it with their own login, only your login and membership are removed. The shared profile stays with your partner.

Delete some data without deleting your account

• Photos and videos: remove them from your profile or delete them from a private album in the app.
• Albums: delete a whole private album in the app.
• Profile details: edit or clear them any time in Edit profile.
• Location: turn off location access for Exchange in your phone settings.
• Anything else: email privacy@exchangesocialapp.com and tell us what you want deleted.

What is kept, and for how long

• Safety records: reports other members made about the account are kept to protect the community and respond to legal requests.
• Legal preservation: content we are required by law to preserve, for example material reported to NCMEC under federal child-safety law, is kept for the period the law requires.
• Purchase records: Google Play and Apple keep their own records of purchases under their policies.

ID and selfie images submitted for the verified badge are already deleted when our review is complete. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
