React, copy and edit
- React: double-tap a message to ❤️ it, or press and hold for more reactions.
- Copy: press and hold a text message, then tap Copy.
- Edit: press and hold your own text message, then tap Edit. You can edit for 15 minutes after sending, and the message shows as Edited.
- Unsend or delete: press and hold a message for these options.
Quick phrases
Tap 💬 next to the message box to insert a saved phrase. Manage your phrases in Edit profile.
Send photos and videos
Tap 📎 to send a photo, video, album or your location. When you send a photo, choose how long it lasts:
- Indefinitely: stays in the chat.
- 1 hour or Rest of today: disappears when time is up.
- View once: they can open it one time, then it's gone.
Tap any photo in a chat to see it full size.
Find everything you've been sent
Tap 📷 at the top of any chat. The number shows how many photos, videos and albums they've sent you. Switch between Photos, Videos and Albums, and between Received and Sent. Expiring photos show their time left and appear first. Press and hold any item to jump to it in the chat.
Screenshots
Screenshots of private photos, videos and albums someone sends you are blocked and come out black. If someone tries, the sender is told.
Share your location
Tap 📎, then share your location only when you're ready to meet. It's sent as a single pin, not live tracking.
